According to statistics, the global plastic bottle recycling market has reached 6.7 million tons in 2014 and is expected to reach 15 million tons in 2020.
Of this, 85% is recycled polyester used to make fibers, about 12% is recycled polyester bottles, and the remaining 3% is packaging tape, monofilaments and engineering plastics.
For a long time, the process of fiber preparation from recycled polyester bottles is generally crushing, sorting, washing, melting into pellets, and then slicing and drying for spiral spinning.
Because melt granulation and chip drying processes are difficult to control relative to raw polyester, products of bottle flake fibers are often limited to regions with relatively low requirements for staining and fiber uniformity.
